Film submission for diff 2020

The Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) is pleased to announce that the 41st edition will take place from 16 to 26 July 2020. The festival is organized by the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Centre for Creative Arts, together with several valued funders and partners.

Screening cutting-edge films from around the world, with special focus on South African and African films, in a range of diverse venues in and around the city of Durban. DIFF is a premiere platform for the launch of African films and a key gateway to the African film industry. The festival has a competition for fiction feature films, documentaries and short films.

This year the DIFF will not be opening a call for submissions due to limited capacity and will present a curated programme of 65 films.  The festival is committed to quality programming and is looking forward to profiling and showcasing some of the best 2020 has on offer.

In addition to film screenings, the festival has an industry programme with seminars and workshops comprised of both local and international filmmakers and industry professionals, with the Isiphethu running from 17 to 24th of July 2020.

The festival looks forward to hosting yet another successful edition.
