Joshua Rous

Joshua Rous is a multiple SAFTA Award winning writer, director and producer who has worked and studied in film in SA, Oxford, Boston and Los Angeles. Currently, he is the In-House Director at Rous House Productions and has spear-headed the multiple-award winning sitcoms City SesŐla, Askies, Gauteng Maboneng, Ga Re Dumele, Elke Skewe Pot, Die Kasteel and Black Tax, for both local and international broadcasters including SABC, Kyknet, MNET, ETV and BET. He has also been the head director on the high-end dramas, High Rollers, Geraamtes in die Kas, Roer jou Voete and Inconceivable. Besides his passion for TV, he has also directed the feature films Discreet and the hugely successful Semi-Soet. JoshŐs short film Doppelganger won the best South African short at DIFF 2012 and his short film Valentown was invited to screen at the Cannes Short Film Corner 2013.
