Reunited after 17 years, an Angolan immigrant is joined in the U.S. by his wife and daughter. Now strangers sharing a one-bedroom apartment, they discover a shared love of dance that may help them overcome the distance between them.

DIRECTOR'S BIOGRAPHY

Ekwa Msangi (writer, director, producer) is a Tanzanian-American filmmaker who grew up in Kenya and is based in New York. Her initial career started in producing, and now focuses on writing and directing. Ekwa has directed several short films, including Taharuki (Suspense), a 12-minute short set against the backdrop of the start of Kenya’s post-election violence.
