Diane Maia is a creative talent who has been producing and developing films for over a decade. Her experience as a producer, in collaboration with filmmakers such as Karim Aïnouz, Fabio Mendonça, Laís Bodanzky, and Cao Hamburger, has been fundamental in shaping her creative vision and developing an authorial voice that now extends to her directorial debut, Braza. A short film that she also wrote and produced. Braza had its national premiere at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival. She is currently preparing her first feature film as a director: an adaptation of the acclaimed novel Prayer to Disappear, written by Socorro Acioli and published in more than five countries.
