Born in Geneva, Aïda Captijn is a Senegalese-Dutch filmmaker who grew up between Switzerland and Dakar. A 2025 graduate of HEAD Geneva with a degree in film, she explores the trajectories of female characters through the prism of genre cinema and a decolonial perspective. Her film Vampire Décadence was selected for the NIFF in 2024 and Dëmm at the Kurzfilmtage Winthertur Swiss competition in 2025.
