Jake J. Smith is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, writer, director and producer from London, UK. His first feature, While They Watched: The Fall of North Korea (2015), was distributed in more than 100 countries and 13 languages. The Lady Lifers is his second feature film. Jake has directed a wide range of social-issue documentaries exploring themes including food justice, incarceration, political oppression, subcultures, and human rights.
