Alexander Strizhevsky (b. 1977, Russia) is a filmmaker working within projects of RT. His work focuses on human stories and the everyday lives of people across different cultures and social environments. Born in a small town in central Russia, he developed an early passion for cinema and began experimenting with filmmaking while still in school. Over the course of his career, he and his team have been involved in a number of documentary and media projects, united by a shared interest in human connection and real-life stories. Travel has had a significant influence on his work. His projects span different countries and cultures, telling stories of resilience, transformation, and dignity whether it is a police officer in Nairobi, a young man from the outskirts of the same city who has reshaped his life through community work, or a renowned Ethiopian artist and his student who now lives and works in Russia. In his films, Strizhevsky is drawn to the brighter, deeply human aspects of life.
