After a decade serving in the South African Army, Captain James Hollander returns to his family’s ranch in the Northern Cape, only to find the once imperious beauty now in decay. His estranged childhood friend, Michael Zungu, remains trapped in a cycle of poverty and desperation, drawn into the lucrative rhino-horn trade. When their paths collide during a failed transaction, long-buried loyalties resurface amid escalating tensions. As poachers, mercenaries, and personal demons converge, both men are forced to confront the choices that shaped them and the devastating cost of survival in a morally compromised world.
