Macabre stop motion has always held a special place in my heart, especially for its often-unique ability to deal with darker subject matter that can still be enjoyed by all ages. I celebrate Halloween with a fierce passion, which is not that popular in South Africa but I was the kid who wore Halloween masks to school in the middle of May. This is a love letter to the holiday and its origins, which has Celtic roots and is a part of my family heritage. We wanted to replicate the style in 3D to cut across mediums and create something that stands out.
