Peiqi Peng is a Chinese writer/director based in Los Angeles, with a BFA in Film & Post-Colonial Studies from Emerson College and an MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute. A child fantasy writer who later studied Sociology, Peiqi loves socially conscious female dramas with fantasy, gore, and absurdist elements. Her narrative shorts A ROADSIDE BANQUET, SUNTANNED ORANGE and ADIÓS MUCHACHOS have been screened at various Oscar-qualifying festivals around the world. Peiqi provided script development work for FilmNation, Partizan, and Imagine Entertainment, and worked in creative. She is currently a freelance director creating branded content while developing both feature and shortform narrative projects.
