Nosa is a filmmaker inspired by African-futurism, spirituality and politics. In 2015 he created the Rise of the Orisa Universe. A superhero universe based on the ancient Nigerian deities known as the Orisa. The proof of concept went viral and gained millions of views. Since then, he has directed films such as BINGE WATCHING, a BBC/BFI commissioned short screened on BBC Iplayer and picked up by Dust, the world’s largest online sci-fi platform. His work consists of genre pieces that feature Africans (continental and Diaspora) in futuristic or mystical worlds. While regularly reworking African folktales, it is his mission to use his work to reclaim how the past and the future of Black people is seen around the world.
