Yvonne Zhang
Yvonne is a British-Chinese director and writer who uses folklore, dream worlds and digital media to explore migration, memory, and loss. Her short CARRION has been an Official Selection at festivals worldwide, won the Alfred P. Sloan Production Award and was a finalist in the Shore Scripts and Screencraft Film Funds. Her next short, SWEETWATER AQUARIUM, is currently in post-production. Yvonne completed her MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute where she was selected as a BAFTA Scholar for two consecutive years and was awarded the AFI David Geffen Fellowship, Fulbright Scholarship, P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship and AAUW Fellowship. Yvonne holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh and a foundation in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London.
