Synopsis

A teenage boy and his mother are hiding during the war in an abandoned cellar. In a desperate attempt to save her he goes in search of water and medical supplies. His search places him in danger and forces him to face his fears. Saving the person closest to him will mean he must confront his worst concerns, the very thing they are hiding from. Will he have the courage and fortitude to succeed, and will he be able to return, unscathed, to his mother?

Ivan Krupenikov

Ivan Krupenikov is a director and editor, who gained his experience working on music videos, advertisements and student films at Lodz Film School and Warsaw Film School, where he works now. In 2022 he released Winter Bloom, which marked his short-film debut. The movie qualified for the Gdynia Film Festival, the largest national film festival in Poland. The film has subsequently won several accolades and is still visiting festivals around the world. Metallic Taste, his diploma film in Warsaw Film School is his most personal work to date.
