NO MORE POOL TIME centers around how we as society discuss renunciation and a pool owner who finds himself in a moral dilemma between the promise of a pool to his young daughter and his new partner’s charity event for a water project in Africa. A satirical drama about double standards, guilt, and the vicious cycle of a culture of blame, where in the end, everything is at stake, except for the water.

Jonas Baumann

Jonas was born in a small Bavarian village in 1991 as the middle son of an “immigrant family” from Baden-WŸrttemberg. After graduating from high school, Jonas studied theater, media and musicology in Bayreuth, where he extensively familiarized himself with the practical art of theater and filmmaking but also got into the science behind it. During this time, he and his fellow students set up the film crew media GmbH, where he works as a director on commercial and feature film projects. In 2017, Jonas started studying feature film directing at the Filmakademie Baden-WŸrttemberg where he focused on the mixture of comedy and drama as a tool for socio-critical topics. There he also set up and led DirActing – a platform for better communication between directors and actors which was temporarily included in the curriculum. In 2024 he will complete his degree with NO MORE POOL TIME, a medium- length film.
