Zola Franchi, a rising senior at Chapman University studying producing, is deeply invested in this documentary due to her unique identity as an African-American and Italian individual. Growing up between diverse communities in California and Baltimore, as well as with her family in Italy, she has continuously examined her sense of identity. Much of her work centers on storytelling about people of color and addressing topics often underrepresented within these communities. With graduation on the horizon, she aspires to pursue a career in international development, aiming to make a meaningful impact in the growing conversation between international filmmakers and American audiences. Vivienne Ayres is a documentary producer and editor from Nashville, Tennessee. She is particularly drawn to arts-related and social issue documentaries and appreciates the strong connection between the two. Vivienne has worked with PBS, CNN, and NBC, and currently lives in Los Angeles. Nidhi Kumar is a documentary filmmaker from Irvine, California. While she studied narrative directing, her passion is documentary cinematography and editing. Growing up in a South Asian home where colorism was not often discussed, Nidhi’s interest in shedding light on this issue runs deep. She currently works with National Geographic.
