Amina Abdoulaye Mamani is a director and producer at Diam Production. She started in cinema with the African Forum of Documentary Film of Niamey. After studying audiovisual production at the IFTIC in Niamey, her graduation documentary, Hawan-Idi, won the award for best school documentary film at Fespaco 2013. In 2014, after completing a writing residency and training in directing at Cinedoc-films (Annecy/France) she directed The silence of papers which was selected at the Festival of African Cinemas of APT Countries (France). On the traces of Mamani Abdoulaye was her first feature documentary and was selected and awarded in several festivals in Africa and Europe. She has since trained in production at CINEKAP in Dakar and has recently signed for her first short fiction film, L’Envoyée de Dieu.
