Growing up in Shiraz, Iran, Aryasb was captivated by classic Disney films such as 101 Dalmatians and Aladdin. He began drawing cartoons in school and soon discovered his passion for CG animation through Pixar movies. After studying painting at the Azad University of Tehran and attending Animation Mentor online school, Aryasb worked part-time as an animator before becoming an animation supervisor at a small studio. However, it was not until he edited a short film that he realized his true passion for directing and storytelling. In 2014, he founded his own studio, BadStache, to pursue his dream of creating his own short animations. In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Aryasb has been teaching character animation for thirteen years. Aryasb’s work has been recognized by industry leaders and has won numerous awards, including Best Short Animation at the Short Cut Festival, ASA Humanitarian Film Festival, and FLICKFAIR Film Festival. His short film Mr. Indifferent went viral online in many countries. It has more than two hundred million views on YouTube and Facebook channels and has become an inspiring video to teach kindness in schools and universities around the world. It won seven awards at the Dubai Lynx Festival, including Best Animation and Best Storytelling, and three awards at Lories 2019, including Gold for Best Craft.
