Owami Kayeni holds an undergraduate degree in television directing and producing and an honours degree in film producing from the school of the creative economy, AFDA. She aspires to redefine narratives about South Africa and its people, is dedicated to creating impactful stories that instigate change and aspires to break barriers in the male-dominated industry. She has a profound belief in the power of storytelling and recognising the importance of the youth in shaping the world wishes to shape not only her own future but also pave the way for other talented young creatives. She is driven by a desire to showcase the richness of South African talent and inspire positive change through the influential medium of storytelling.
