Regopotswe Matshelo dances with African tales, weaving cinematic dreams in the tapestry of his art. With each frame, he breathes life into the heartbeat of our diverse cultures, embracing the rhythm of African storytelling, where every shadow conceals a saga, and every sunrise births a new narrative. Matshelo, the storyteller, paints authenticity on the canvas of cinema, inviting the world to listen to the whispers of the continent through his lens. Manqoba is a widower who still struggles with feelings of denial and anger towards the end of the cultural grieving period for his late wife Nokuthula. He finds solitude in a virtual reality device that allows him to remember his time with his deceased wife and negate the responsibility that awaits him in the real world. Unfortunately, his increasing dependence on an alternative reality poses a challenge to his engagement with reality.

Omolemo Molefe is a director and writer based in Johannesburg. She began her career as a performer and stage manager. She has created seven short films, which focus on narratives that promote African characters who can live multifaceted and unconventional lives through story, during her undergraduate degree at AFDA Film School. Her recent work explored the story of an exploited and undermined sex worker set in a near-dystopian South Africa. She views her work as a form of advocacy that she hopes to continue in the future.
