David is an industry professional with 23 years of industry experience and 19 years of broadcast management experience in the free to air and satellite and DTT pay –TV broadcasting space. He was the head of commissioning for the SABC and contributes towards industry development under his company Industry Development Entertainment hub. He has conducted local industry development initiatives, including running broadcast management workshops at festivals and facilitating at local universities as a guest lecturer. He holds an Honours BA degree from Witwatersrand, majoring in film, television and media studies. David has also completed his MBA with Henley Business School. He is passionate about local industry development and protecting the South African narrative, perspective and IP. His global networks have been created through the acquisition of content and attendance of international markets, an activity he credits for his continuing growth and success.
