Edmund Mhlongo is the founder and director of K-CAP and the Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre in Kwa Mashu. He is a trained scriptwriter, director and a development facilitator. He is the founder and director of the annual KZN African Film Festival (KAFF) and has served on many boards including the National Council of SA. He runs the K-CAP Writers Lab, an incubator for aspirant writers and has been an adjudicator for the Simon Mabhunu Sabelo Awards (KZN Film Awards) and SAFTAs. He is an eThekwini Living Legend (2015) recipient and has produced many internationally acclaimed musical productions. He has co-produced the SABC3 Healing Power Nature documentary series with Mafisa Productions and co-produced the documentary Still My Home (Kwa Mashu).
