Romeo Umulisa is a creative strategist and cultural producer working between Germany, Africa, and Brazil. With over a decade of experience across film and the creative economy, he develops platforms that support film professionals and amplify underrepresented voices. In 2023, he founded Hi Kigali, a Germany- and Rwanda-based film production and distribution company focused on innovative storytelling and emerging technologies. He is also founder and director of Creative Africa Lab, which strengthens African film industries through international partnerships and film labs. Since 2025, Romeo has been part of Engage, an initiative exploring future horizons for African screens.
